Help Claire
Help Claire find clues.
Hey there! Chloe the cat here and welcome to Mewowville.
Middle school can be so hard, am I right? That’s why we need your help!
As a parent, I bet you have helped your kid with like a zillion things! Speaking human, painting pictures and the, “did you clean your room,” or, “how did school go today?” stuff. All the things kids need help with ‘stuff’.
So you’re pretty good at lots of things that humans need to be good at, right?
Well, we need your help in Mewowville. That’s where I’m from and that’s where Claire is from.
She has a problem.
She found something suspicious in mom’s entryway closet and she has to investigate. Her gut feeling is telling her something isn’t right. She has to trust her gut, and no, it’s not because she ate too fast. This is serious!
Will you help her investigate?
Where should Claire start?
She should just let it go. It probably has nothing to do with her.
But her gut reaction based on what she saw is telling her that she could be in trouble. What should she do?
Gather clues and see where they lead before she makes a conclusion.
That’s a great start! By gathering clues first and tracking down what her suspicions tell her, she might solve the problem before thinking the worst of it.
Give up! Snooping can be dangerous and you could lose trust.
Those are good points! But if she does nothing just because she might be scared of danger, she might never know how to trust her instincts about what she found.
What can Claire do to get started?
Let’s help her figure it out. Instinct, curiosity and problem-solving are good skills to develop. By following your gut and figuring out how to solve problems, big or small, you feel more confident in your abilities and have the know-how to tackle bigger challenges you face along the way.
Instinct

Curiosity
